Rachel Katz
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
With more than a decade of experience in communications, Rachel has led Crosscut’s work with digital health companies, innovative care providers, and leading non-profit organizations. She previously worked with think tank scholars, small business leaders, and political campaigns.
Rachel has significant experience developing and managing communications strategies, elevating experts’ thought leadership profiles, and simply explaining complex issues. In addition to her account work, Rachel leads Crosscut’s professional development training program.
Rachel began her career at the Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program, promoting scholars and their research; to this day, her favorite activity is digging into research and finding the most newsworthy elements. Prior to joining Crosscut Strategies, she worked for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 general election campaign as a regional press secretary in Ohio. Rachel was previously the press secretary at Business Forward, where she helped business leaders advocate for economic policies.
Rachel has a B.A. in English from Wellesley College and a M.A. in communication from the Johns Hopkins University.
