Brian is always looking for opportunities to transform complex ideas into clear and compelling messages.

At Crosscut, Brian leverages his unique background in research, statistical analysis, writing, and communications strategy to serve client’s most pressing needs. Before joining the Crosscut team, Brian led multiple client teams at a D.C. public affairs firm, securing top-tier media placements and drafting executive communications on healthcare, entertainment, energy, and more. Previously, Brian served as a Communications Director within the New Mexico government, helping to coordinate and direct COVID-19 vaccine-related messaging across more than 20 state agencies. Brian began his career as an economist-in-training, spending time as a health economics research assistant, a market research analyst, and a workforce policy advisor to the North Dakota government before finally marrying his passion for analysis with his love for writing.

Born and raised in rural Arizona, Brian holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Tufts University, as well as a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
