Jena Crable has extensive experience in operations management coupled with a professional background in strategic communications. 

She brings a decade of operations expertise to Crosscut, where she will focus on processes to support the firm's stellar work, manage the intricacies of a hybrid work environment, and support staff recruitment and retention. Prior to joining Crosscut, Jena worked as a Director of Operations for a DC-based technology firm where she guided the company’s operational growth, established and expanded relationships with District agencies, and holistically managed government and private sector contracts from compliance to human resources. 

In addition to her operations experience, Jena has a unique background in communications consulting. She began her DC career at Spitfire, a strategic communications agency that works exclusively with nonprofits and foundations, where she provided strategic support to nonprofit and foundation clients on a diverse set of issues including sustainable seafood, children’s health, and international reproductive rights. 

Jena graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in International Affairs with an additional concentration in Business Administration from Rollins College.
